Founded in 1996 by Janet Merewether, Go Girl Productions is dedicated to the production of creative documentary, fiction and digital media works which break new ground in cinema aesthetics. With a background in design, Janet Merewether’s work is visually rich and designed to challenge audiences as well as providing a stimulating viewing experience.

Janet Merewether’s films have been selected for many Australian and international festivals, including the New York Film Festival, New Directors/New Films MoMA NY, Munich International Film Festival, Tampere Finland, Uppsala Sweden, the Berlin Kinemathek,
Sheffield Int’l Documentary festival and DOK Leipzig.

Janet Merewether also founded the company Screen Culture Pty Limited in 2007 for the production of long form documentary, fiction films and digital media projects.

She holds undergraduate degrees from Sydney College of the Arts and the Australian Film Television and Radio School, a doctorate from the University of Technology Sydney and has over 25 years teaching experience in design and media production in the tertiary sector.

Janet Merewether has written, produced and directed numerous award-winning films, videos documentaries and animations.
